Refund Policy
Updated 14/10/2026
This Refund Policy applies to the paid subscription plans of the software made available by Maffeis Engineering S.p.A. (the “Provider”) as Software as a Service, and supplements the Terms and Conditions.
1. Who Sells and Refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it processes payments, issues invoices, collects VAT and other sales taxes, and handles refunds and chargebacks. Purchases are also governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms.
2. General Rule: No Refunds
Our products are digital services that are made available immediately after purchase. Unless stated otherwise in this policy or required by applicable law, payments for subscriptions, renewals and additional seats are non-refundable, in whole or in part.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. The Client may turn automatic renewal off at any time from the subscription page of the Software: the plan stays active until the end of the period already paid, and no further payment is taken.
Turning automatic renewal off, deleting the account or not using the Software does not entitle the Client to a refund of the current billing period, nor of any unused part of it.
Free plans and free trials can be used to evaluate the Software before purchasing a paid plan.
3. Money-back Guarantee, Where Offered
The Provider may decide to offer some plans with a money-back guarantee. A guarantee applies only if it is expressly stated, together with its length, when the plan is purchased; in that case the conditions of Article 7-bis of the Terms and Conditions apply and the refund is requested from the subscription page of the Software. A plan purchased without such a statement is not covered by any guarantee.
4. Statutory Rights of Consumers
Nothing in this policy limits the rights that applicable law grants to consumers.
Consumers resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom may withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of it. Because the Software is made available immediately, the consumer is asked at checkout to agree that the service starts before the end of that period; under the Paddle Buyer Terms the right of withdrawal is lost once the consumer has started using or benefiting from the Software during those 14 days. Consumers in other countries keep the rights granted by their local law. Refunds due by law are handled by Paddle under its refund policy.
5. Plan Changes
Upgrades and additional seats are charged for the remainder of the current billing period, with the unused part of the previous plan credited. Downgrades, seat reductions and changes to a shorter billing period take effect at the next renewal and do not give rise to a refund. The deadlines are described in Article 7-ter of the Terms and Conditions.
6. Refunds and Chargebacks Obtained Elsewhere
A refund granted by Paddle, or a chargeback requested from the Client’s bank or card issuer, for a payment of a plan ends that plan immediately, and the Client’s organization returns to the free plan of the Product.
7. How to Request a Refund
Where a money-back guarantee applies, the refund is requested by the owner or an administrator of the organization from the subscription page of the Software. In any other case, including the exercise of statutory rights, write to apps-support@maffeis.it or contact Paddle through the link in the receipt email. Approved refunds are made by Paddle to the original payment method; the time needed for the amount to be credited depends on Paddle and on the payment method.
8. Changes to This Policy
The Provider may update this policy, for example to introduce refunds or guarantees for some plans. Each purchase is governed by the policy in force when it is made. Updates are published on this page with a new revision date.
